University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa women’s golf sophomore Emiko Sverduk set a new program record with a 7-under 65 in the final round of the Pat Lesser Harbottle Invitational on October 3, at the Tacoma Country and Golf Club in Lakewood, Washington.
Sverduk posted seven birdies with no bogeys on her round, which started with birdies on four of the first six holes. The Long Beach, California native broke the previous record (held by Hana Mirnik in 2021) by one stroke. Sverduk finished in a tie for 31st place at 6-over 222.
As a team, the Rainbow Wahine carded an even par 288 and tied for 10th place with an 889 total. Wendy Song was UH‘s top finisher in a tie for 17th place with a career-best 54-hole score of 4-over 220. Focus Jonglikit shot a final round even par 72 to tie for 36th place at 223. Newcomers Kellie Yamane and Jordyn Parr tied for 76th at 230.
UH will host the Rainbow Wahine Invitational, October 23–25, to close out the fall season. The three-day, 54-hole tournament will be played at Kapolei Golf Club on Oʻahu.
