Three University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo men’s basketball student-athletes landed on the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Honors Court as the Vulcans overall earned a 2022–23 NABC Team Academic Excellence Award for outstanding achievement in the classroom.
Nadjrick Peat, Drew Yezbak and Aniwaniwa Tait-Jones finished the school year with a cumulative 3.2 GPA or higher while the men’s basketball team achieved a combined 3.3 GPA for the 2022–23 school year.
Last month, nine Vulcans were named to the Academic All-PacWest Team for finishing with at least a cumulative 3.0 GPA.
The NABC Team Academic Excellence Award recognizes men’s basketball programs that completed the 2022–23 academic year with a team 3.0 GPA or higher. The NABC Honors Court includes juniors, seniors and graduate students who finished with a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher.
