Three University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa women’s golfers repeated as All-American Scholars announced by the Women’s Golf Coaches Association (WGCA). Sophomores Ting-Yu Liu, Hyeonji Kang and Mayumi Umezu were also named to the list last year.

The criteria for selection to the WGCA All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics. The minimum cumulative GPA is 3.50 with a total of 1,401 women’s collegiate golfers representing 378 programs earning the prestigious recognition in 2022—23.

This year marks the fifth consecutive year and ninth time in the last 11 years that at least one rainbow wahine was named to the All-American Scholar Team.
