University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo’s Ryan Cho was named National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association Division II West Region Player of the Week for March 20–26.
The veteran first baseman had 10 hits in 15 at-bats for UH Hilo as the team won two out of three games against Hawaiʻi Pacific University, March 25–26. Cho scored six times in those three games, hit two doubles, a home run and drove in seven runs. He went 5 for 6 in the March 26 game including the homer. Cho is hitting a career-best .418 with eight doubles and does not have an error in 137 chances at first base.
