Harry Gustin Big West Pitcher of the Week graphic

University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa baseball player Harry Gustin earned Big West Pitcher of the Week recognition after a career outing in a win over Tulane University at the Les Murakami Stadium on March 24.

Gustin, a sophomore left-handed pitcher, set the tone for the series with a dominant start on March 24, working a career-long seven innings with a career-high eight strikeouts while allowing just one run on one hit. He had a no-hitter going through six innings before giving up a leadoff solo homer to start the seventh, and allowing just two Tulane baserunners over his seven innings.

Gustin has a 1.71 ERA and 24 strikeouts over 21 innings pitched in his last four starts. On the season, he leads the team with 26 strikeouts over 28 innings pitched with a 2-1 record and 3.54 ERA.

Gustin is the first Rainbow Warrior to earn the Big West Pitcher of the Week award since March 5, 2018 when Logan Pouelsen received the honor. He is also the first UH Mānoa baseball player to earn any Big West weekly honor since Dustin Demeter was named Field Player of the Week on May 3, 2021.
