President David Lassner provided an update on the UH Mānoa athletics director search, the new attainment goal recently adopted by Hawaiʻi P–20 and the latest enrollment numbers for spring 2023 in his monthly report on January 19 at the Board of Regents meeting at UH West Oʻahu.

Lassner also discussed the post COVID-19 pandemic course modality patterns, the substantial impact on the recently passed federal omnibus bill and commended the UH Esports team that was named the best in the country.
