University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo women’s soccer players Lolo Retsky and Daelenn Tokunaga were named to the Division 2 Conference Commissioners Association All-America third team.
Retsky, a freshman goalkeeper and two-time PacWest Defender of the Week, started 14 matches. She finished with a 10-0-3 record in goals after allowing just five goals, and posted six individual shutouts with three additional combined team shutouts. She had a season-high five saves in the Vulcans’ 1-0 win against Stanislaus State University on September 10.
Retsy’s NCAA Division II Rankings at the end of the regular season:
- No. 4 in goals-against average (0.407)
- No. 28 in save percentage (0.853)
Tokunaga, a fifth-year senior midfielder, also started 14 matches and totaled six goals and seven assists for 19 points on the season. She netted two game-winning goals, the first in a 2-0 win over Chaminade University on September 23, and later in a 3-0 victory over Biola University on October 22. She also had a season-high four points on two goals in a 4-0 win over Holy Names University on October 18.
Tokunaga’s NCAA Division II Rankings at the end of the regular season:
- No. 17 in assists per game (0.50)
- No. 34 in total assists (7)
- No. 79 in points per game (1.21)
