(When we think about our responsibilities to serve Hawaiʻi and the world, sometimes, we’re not able to attain the results quickly, however we do not give up, we hoʻomanawanui and continue to carry out our responsibilities. That is how we strengthen ourselves as well as our nation.)”

Kaululehua Ekau, haumāna (student) MA, Indigenous Language and Culture Education, University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo
