University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo men’s soccer player Julian Garcia and women’s golfer Elle Otani earned KTA Super Stores Superstars of the Week honors for October 26–November 1.
Garcia, a senior forward, made his eighth career start in his final game for UH Hilo, and helped break a three-game scoreless skid by getting the Vulcans on the scoreboard in the October 29 match against Azusa Pacific University.
Otani, a freshman, led the Vulcans with round scores of 76 and 73 to finish at five-over par for a No. 18 place tie at the Dennis Rose Intercollegiate, held October 28–29.
The award names one male and one female Vulcan Athletics student-athlete each week, highlighting their accomplishments from the prior week.
