University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo men’s soccer player Alexander Hernandez-Herbach and women’s soccer player Filippa Graneld received KTA Super Stores Superstars of the Week recognition for the week September 7–13.
The KTA Super Stores Superstars of the Week award names one male and one female Vulcan Athletics student-athlete each week for their accomplishments and highlights from the week prior.

After contributing on a pair of goals in the September 4 Vulcans season opener, senior Hernandez-Herbach got one of his own on September 12 with a fourth-minute header against Cal State Monterey Bay to give UH Hilo the early lead.
Graneld, a junior, captured a total of seven points through three games last week, netting a pair of goals on September 8 against San Francisco State, then another goal and an assist against Regis on September 12.
