Both the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa men’s and women’s tennis teams were named Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-Academic Teams while a combined 13 student-athletes earned scholar-athletes honors for 2022.
The Rainbow Wahine tennis team earned the ITA All-Academic Team award for the seventh consecutive season. Eight Rainbow Wahine were also named ITA Scholar-Athletes—Gitte Heynemans, Madison Kim, Kaitlyn Ralar, Léa Romain, Nidhi Surapaneni, Satsuki Takamura, Ana Vilcek and Tal Talya Zandberg.
The Rainbow Wahine tennis team has been named an ITA All-Academic Team a total of 12 times and since 1983, 103 players earned ITA Scholar-Athlete awards at least once. Kim, Romain and Takamura earned the academic honor for three-straight years.

The Rainbow Warriors tennis team earned ITA All-Academic Team honors while five players—Cody Castro, Andy Hernandez, Andre Ilagan, Axel Labrunie and Blaz Seric—were tabbed as ITA Scholar-Athletes.
The Rainbow Warriors have been recognized as an ITA All-Academic Team a total of seven times and since 1983, 29 players earned a total of 43 ITA Scholar-Athlete honors. For Seric, it marked the second time receiving the national honor.
