The University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa Athletics Department finished in second place in the 2021–22 Dennis Farrell Big West Commissioner’s Cup standings, its highest finish since joining the conference in 2012.
UH finished with an average of 138.0 points, just behind Long Beach State (141.3). Hawaiʻi’s previous best finish was third in 2012–13, its inaugural year in the Big West.
UH received first place points in three sports—women’s volleyball, women’s basketball, women’s golf (tied) and second place points in four—men’s volleyball, women’s water polo, beach volleyball and women’s track and field.
The Commissioner’s Cup is awarded annually to the institution with the highest average point total following the 18 conference-sponsored sport seasons. Points are distributed based on the order of finish during either the regular season or in the championship.
First awarded after the 1998–99 season, the Commissioner’s Cup was renamed in honor of Dennis Farrell, who served as Big West Commissioner for 28 years before his retirement in 2020.
