2019 UH transfer event

Thousands of University of Hawaiʻi Community College students from seven campuses across the state have a quick, free and easy way to apply to a four-year UH campus. The UH System will be hosting a virtual UH Transfer Day event on September 17, 9 a.m.–12 p.m. via Zoom.

This “one-stop-shop” virtual event is designed to help UH community college students continue their journey to transfer to a four-year campus to complete their bachelor’s degrees. Students who qualify for automatic admission are also able to apply to UH Mānoa, UH Hilo, UH Maui College or UH West Oʻahu with no application fee.

“We know the majority of our students at the University of Hawaiʻi Community Colleges intend to transfer to a four-year program, and this event gives students a chance to learn about and connect with representatives from some of our best and most popular programs at Mānoa, Hilo, West Oʻahu and Maui College,” said Joshua Kaakua, interim academic program officer and a member of the planning committee. “Sometimes it helps to meet the right people along your academic journey. Our goal is to make the transfer experience to another UH campus as simple as possible.”

Representatives from those admissions offices, as well as individual programs and schools will provide assistance with the application process (including “automatic admission” for qualified students), answer questions about college offerings, requirements, tuition and financial aid, and provide information about specific programs.

Students are welcome to drop in anytime during the event. A schedule and more information can be found at the UH Transfer Day 2021 website.
