For the first time since 2011, a University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa baseball player earned All-American accolades.

Junior shortstop Kole Kaler is the 17th Rainbow Warrior baseball player to earn All-American honors. Kaler was named to the All-American third team by Collegiate Baseball Newspaper, earning his second national honor of the shortened 2020 season.

The junior broke onto the national scene in a hurry, ranking sixth in doubles and 10th in triples while ranking inside the top 100 in the country in batting average, hits and more.

Kaler was also named the final Big West Player of the Week this season, leading the conference in runs batted in and doubles, and ranking second in slugging percentage and fourth in walks. With Kaler’s significant influence, Hawaiʻi led the league in doubles and triples in this early season.
