The Rainbow Wahine earn their ninth Big West Conference title.

The University of Hawaiʻi women’s volleyball team won the Big West Conference title with a three-set sweep over Long Beach State on Friday night at a sold out Stan Sheriff Center. The Rainbow Wahine won the sets with scores of 25-18, 25-12 and 25-20. Hawaiʻi improved to 24-3 overall and 14-2 in the Big West to capture their first title since 2016.

Friday night was also Senior Night as the ’Bows honored their five seniors—Bailey Choy, Norene Iosia, Rika Okino, McKenna Ross and Kirsten Sibley.

The game marked Hawaiʻi’s ninth Big West title and fifth since rejoining the Big West in 2012. It is UH’s 24th overall conference title and the first conference crown for Head Coach Robyn Ah Mow.

The Rainbow Wahine finished the season winning their last 11-straight matches. UH’s 24 wins is also the most for Ah Mow in a season since 2015 after earning 20 wins in 2017 and 18 victories last year.
