Scotty Scott

University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa freshman baseball outfielder Scotty Scott has been named to the 2019 Freshman Collegiate Baseball All-America Team.

The Houston, Texas native came on the scene hitting .291 with six doubles, four triples, 36 runs scored and 20 runs batted in through the course of the 2019 season. Scott hit leadoff in all 50 games this season, setting the table for the lineup with a .381 on-base percentage, and posting a .360 slugging percentage. He also led the squad with 17 multi-hit games, tying him with redshirt sophomore and fellow outfielder Daylen Calicdan.

On top of his national recognition, Scott was named the Freshman Field Player of the Year, as well as an honorable mention by the Big West Conference.
