The University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa Athletics Department named Art Gladstone the recipient of the 2018 Charlie Ushijima Award for outstanding volunteer work and dedicated service.

Gladstone, CEO of Straub Medical Center and Pali Momi Medical Center, will receive the award during halftime at the UH Mānoa men’s basketball game on Saturday, March 2.

Gladstone is an ardent basketball fan and president of the UH Mānoa men’s basketball booster club. He has worked with the club’s membership to increase fundraising and enhance membership numbers.
