University of Hawaiʻi President David Lassner hosted a special gathering for donors who gave at the Aloha United Way’s (AUW) Leadership Giving Levels on August 29 at Bachman Hall.

Several dozen UH employees attended the event, where the president and AUW representatives were able to thank them for their generosity. AUW Leadership Level Giving starts at $1,000 in annual donations that can break down to $39 per pay period.

AUW Leadership Level Giving:

  • Alexis de Tocqueville Society ($10,000+)
  • Gold Level ($5,000 to $9,999)
  • Silver Level ($2,500 to $4,999)
  • Bronze Level ($1,000 to $2,499)

UH employees are one of the biggest donor groups in the state. Over the past 10 years, UH employees have donated more than $3.8 million.

Aloha United Way supports more than 300 different community groups that provide services to tens of thousands of people across the state.

The upcoming Oʻahu AUW campaign kicks off on September 10 and ends on October 12. Neighbor Island campuses will start their campaigns at a later date. More information will be distributed to employees soon about the opportunity to make an impact in the lives of other Hawaiʻi residents through the donation program.
