Hawaiʻi Community College will begin offering an associate of science in natural science (ASNS) degree at the Pālamanui campus in Kailua-Kona beginning fall 2017.
“We are thrilled to begin offering the natural science program in West Hawaiʻi,” said Hawaiʻi CC Chancellor Rachel Solemsaas. “It’s an incredibly valuable degree that provides a clear pathway to bachelor’s programs in science, technology, engineering and math.”
Scholarships are available for qualified students who are part of the initial group of ASNS students at Pālamanui. The scholarships can potentially provide the equivalent of about 80 percent of tuition costs.
“At Hawaiʻi Community College–Pālamanui we have highly accomplished science professors who are passionate about science and teaching,” said Hawaiʻi CC–Pālamanui Director Marty Fletcher. “It’s a great learning environment where students can begin a successful academic journey.”
