Innovations with Ed Begley, Jr. explores the latest technological breakthroughs in disaster preparedness and recovery. The episode will highlight the National Disaster Preparedness Training Center (NDPTC) at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa.

NDPTC works collaboratively to develop and deliver training and education in the areas of disaster preparedness, response and recovery. Innovations shows how NDPTC incorporates urban planning and environmental management, emphasizing community preparedness and addressing the needs of vulnerable at-risk populations.

Innovations will also explore Interstate Restoration, Cambridge Systematics and L-3 DPA.

“These organizations are helping people around the globe recover, both at home and in the office, following a disaster,” said Amanda Sweeney, Innovations producer.
