Windward Community College students will sing, strum, dance and play music at three performances celebrating the end of semester. The performances will be on May 6, 9 and 12 and are free and open to the public.
Windward CC Piano Program Spring Concert, under the direction of So Jin Kimura
- Tuesday, May 6, 7 p.m. at the Ronald E. Bright Theatre at Castle High School
The piano program students will showcasing solo pieces ranging from Disney’s movie Up to the classical first movement of the Piano Sonata in C Major by Mozart.
Windward CC Vocal Program Concert, under the direction of Kaʻala Carmack
- Friday, May 9, 7–9 p.m. at the Hale ʻĀkoakoa, Windward CC with intermission/refreshments
The concert features performances by the choir and voice classes, Professor Ron Loo’s slack key guitar students and Sky Gora’s Hula ʻŌlapa students.
Hanauna Mele Concert Series, under the direction of Kamuela Kimokeo
- Monday, May 12, 6:30–8:30 p.m. at the Paliku Theatre, Windward CC
The concert features slack key and ʻukulele students from Windward CC and University of Hawaiʻi–West Oʻahu. Special musical guests include Aaron Mahi, Martin Pahinui and George Kuo.
