
Veteran animator Paul Shardlow will speak on Design in Animation: Then and Now, on Monday, April 2, 7 p.m. at Kapiʻolani Community College, Ohia 118. The presentation is free and open to the public.
Shardlow has spent 40 years as an artist, designer and writer for animated films. In the 1970s, he worked in Europe on television specials such as The Snowman, television commercials, training films and classic feature films like Watership Down and Heavy Metal. In 1995, he joined Steven Spielberg’s studio DreamWorks.
Shardlow will talk about working professionally as a creative artist in the animated film world, using examples from such films as Shrek and How to Train Your Dragon.
