The dual Master’s degree option allows students to enroll in and complete two degree programs concurrently, sharing a maximum of nine credits between the two programs. Applicants interested in applying for dual degrees must submit separate applications to each of the two programs; entry requirements for both graduate programs must be met and both programs must be started during the same semester (except for Law). Consider, also, that while LIS accepts new students in Fall and Spring semesters, other programs may only accept new students in the Fall.
The LIS program currently has dual degree agreements with the following departments and/or programs:
- American Studies
- Asian Studies
- Hawaiian Language
- Hawaiian Studies
- History
- Information & Computer Sciences
- Law
- Learning Design and Technology (formerly Educational Technology)
- Pacific Islands Studies
Please contact both programs for additional information concerning the requirements and/or restrictions of the specific dual degree option.
