BAM Degree

Combined Bachelor’s & Master’s Degree (BAM) afford a way for highly motivated students to efficiently complete a bachelors degree and masters degree in a shorter time frame by double-counting course work (3 courses) at the undergraduate tuition rate.

The LIS Program currently has one BAM agreement with the Information and Computer Science (ICS) bachelors degree program.

Prerequisites to apply:

  • Must be a classified student in the ICS undergraduate program
  • Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
  • Must complete ICS 311 Algorithms with a B or higher
  • Student may apply for the LIS graduate program in the final semester of their junior year
  • Complete all LIS graduate application requirements

Senior Year:

  • Complete LIS 601 Introduction to Reference and Information Services in the first semester (minimum grade of B)
  • Complete First Semester Seminar (FSS), a noncredit seminar series, during the first semester
  • Complete LIS 605 Metadata Creation and LIS 630 Community Engagement during the final semester
  • Complete remaining ICS bachelors degree requirements
  • Graduate with Bachelor of Arts in Information & Computer Science

Year 5+
