SSATEXT Related Issues

Section Long Text is Not Consistently Populating

Sometimes, when you access SSATEXT, the Section Long Text does not display unless you actually next block (down arrow) into the Section Long Text Block. Be sure your cursor is in the Section Long Text block to view the data.

Section Long Text From a Prior CRN Displaying

When inserting/updating SSATEXT, if you use the F5 key to return to the key block and then access another CRN, the Section Long Text from the previous CRN will display.

There are two workarounds:

1) Instead of using F5, use the Start Over button to return to the keyblock.
2) Exit SSATEXT and then re-enter the page.

Unable to Delete Section Long Text

When attempting to delete the SSATEXT Section Long Text record, users may encounter the following error message(s):

and/or

Workaround: Use the “Delete” button in Banner (not the keyboard Delete button).

Deleted Section Long Text May Still Appear on SSATEXT

Using Shift+F6 to delete a Section Long Text record deletes the record and displays the “Saved successfully” message confirming that the record has been removed. However, when you return to the record, the page still displays the text and when you access that block, you receive the message “Query caused no records to be retrieved. Re-enter.”

Workaround: Exit SSATEXT and then re-enter the page.
