Training Environment
The training environment enables users to test processes, add and delete entries, and practice navigation without the worry of inadvertently updating actual records/accounts. Training databases are refreshed with production (a.k.a. “live”) data approximately 3-4 times a year. Recent changes and new information entered in production Banner (e.g. courses/sections, students, codes) may not yet exist in the training database.
Production Environment
Caution, this is live data you are working with.
The production database is “live” data. Actions taken here may be immediately visible by students, faculty, and staff.
