On December 16, Hawaiʻi Governor David Ige signed a 17th COVID-19 emergency proclamation that reduces Hawaiʻi’s mandatory self-quarantine period for travelers from 14 to 10 days. The new policy takes effect on Thursday, Dec. 17 at 12:01am HST. The new policy applies to anyone entering the state as well as those who travel between counties who do not have a valid pre-travel testing under the State of Hawaiʻi Safe Travels Program.
