Windward Community College

Windward Community College (WCC) offers innovative programs in the arts and sciences and opportunities to gain knowledge and understanding of Hawai’i and its unique heritage.

Agripharmatech is a CTE (Career and Technical Education) integrated STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) program at WCC. The program offers a 9-credit Certificate of Competence in Plant-Food Production and Technology (CO PFPaT) that focuses on technical education and training for the agribiosciences workforce. The CO PFPaT serves as a pathway for a higher credential certificate, a 30-credit Certificate of Achievement (CA) that includes two specializations: Plant Biotechnology and Ethnopharmacognosy. The CA provides students with basic argibiosciences education and extensive laboratory/field practices that prepare them to transfer to four-year institutions, to enter into diverse career options and/or to become agribusiness entrepreneurs.
