Balimbing/Star Fruit

 

Babalibalimbing, babalibalimba,

iisa ang ulo, ang mukha ay lima.

(It goes balimbing, it goes balimba,

it has only one head but five faces.)

Nakatalikod na ang prinsesa,

Mukha niya’y nakaharap pa.

(The princess has turned her back,

yet her face still faces front.)

Nagsaing si Kang Pirit,

Kinain pati anglit.

(Kang Pirit boiled rice and ate even the pots)

 

Hindi naman hari, Hindi naman pari,

Laging naka-korona.

Isang magandang prinsesa,

(I drew the curtain,

Kung tawagin nila’y santo,

hindi naman milagroso.

They call it a saint, but it's not miraculous.)
