Description: This shrub or small tree is commonly seen as a hedge on Mājro, Kuwajleen, and other atolls.

Distribution: This alien species is a recent introduction.

Uses: In addition to its use as an ornamental hedge plant, when a branch is heated, it produces a gas which drives away mosquitos (ņam), hence the Marshallese name.
