Lōklōk (Cenchrus echinatus -Poaceae)

Description: Lōklōk is a very common alien grass known in English as "sand burr." It produces thorny seeds that easily become detached from the plant and attach themselves securely to the coats of animals and clothing or the skin of humans.

Distribution: It is very widespread in tropical areas and was introduced into the Marshall Islands from tropical America in recent times.

Uses: Sand burr grass is a pest. It is utterly useless.
