Please join us at the CIS 720 seminar from 4:30-5:30pm on Monday, 03/25, for a talk by cybersecurity expert Dave Stevens. Dave will share his knowledge about working from home in a secure fashion — a topic made even more urgent by current global events.
Bio:
Dave Stevens is an IT / Cyber Security Instructor at the University of Hawai’i Kapi’olani Community College teaching a range of technology related courses, including programming, databases, network security, project management, cloud-based computing, and ethical hacking. Prior to joining academia, Dave had a 20-year IT career, which included working as a programmer, website developer, project manager, and cryptographer.
He is also the co-founder of Kapu Technologies, LLC; a local cybersecurity company focusing on risk analysis, security governance, and penetration testing. He is a graduate of Hawai’i Pacific University with a Masters in Information Systems (MSIS), a Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP), Project Management Professional (PMP), and a current PhD student at the University of Hawai’i Mānoa with a research focus on secure online voting systems and their secure implementation.
