CIS 720 Seminar – Hanalei Abbott on grant development opportunities for CIS students

Please join us at the CIS 720 seminar from 4:30-5:30pm on Monday, 10/11, as we welcome Hanalei Abbott, Director of the Grant Development Office for the Social Science Research Institute, who will be presenting on grant development opportunities for CIS students.

Bio:

Hanalei Abbott is the Director of the Grant Development Office for the Social Science Research Institute and Water Resources Research Center at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. He previously worked as the Project Administrator for the University of Hawaiʻi’s $20M NSF EPSCoR Track-1 project, “IMUA III: Pacific High Island Evolutionary Biogeography: Impacts of Invasive Species, Anthropogenic Activity and Climate Change on Hawaiian Focal Species” from 2009-2015 and before that as the Human Subjects and Grant Proposal Manager for the Social Development Research Group at the University of Washington. Mr. Abbott received a Masters Degree in Library and Information Science from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa in 2009.
