2.   My overall evaluation of this course is...
A spectacular course. I learned a lot from the content. I believe I produced some great work during this course. One of my favorite classes for this semester.
I think the course is really niche but is a good option to have on campus for the people who are really interested in this topic and want to become more inclusive. It was a class I was not expecting to take due to Star.Edu saying it was a Pop Culture and Counter Culture class but in reality it was a LGBTQIA+ POP CULTURE class. Therefore It was misleading and I really rather have taken the pop culture and counter culture class due to it being more relatable to my major. I believe that it should be relabeled so people actually get the class they signed up. I feel like it should be obvious to label the classes properly while signing up for classes so you know what you are getting yourself into for the next half year.
that it's massively insightful to the people in LGBTQ+ community.
Very good and would recommend to others who want to learn more about the LGBTQ comminity.
Very good. It's conducted in a manner that's suitable for people who can and can't attend in person, and it's based around education over simply passing out assignments to fill out. It achieves the goal all education should strive for by making the students want to learn more about the subject matter.
I think this course was fantastic. The teacher was very attentive to my emails and answered my classmates questions very promptly. She has an infectious, youthful energy and it makes the class engaging, and interesting to be a part of. I think that the material was fascinating and helped me understand US Pop Culture more, which is the point of the class. I think that the class load was manageable; more importantly, the way she made us work in teams was good for college students' social skills and ability to work in a team, preparing for the world where both things might be necessary.
I would say that this was more of a very interesting and colorful history class as this was meant to explain the struggles of those involved in LGBTQIA+ and how we can see how it has changed the world as a whole over the years and how it has thrived within the negativity.
I truly enjoyed this course even though I came in with a little of skepticism. I found this course challenging because not only did I learn about the challenges and struggles of the LGBTQ community, I was also able to think critically about it. Changing what I think about the course and the subject as the weeks go by.
This course is great for someone in the LGBTQIA community and it is a great space for people who want a place to feel comfortable.
For someone who is not part of the LGBTQ and does not really know a lot about it, the class is interesting to learn more of.
It was fun learning more about my community and I think that it is fairly informational. I was excited to learn more about Trans topics, Games and other pop culture. The teacher is also friendly. All in all I had a great time.

3.   If this course was taken to fulfill course requirements for your concentration/major, how did this course enhance your personal and/or professional development in your concentration/major?
This course was taken to fulfill a requirement but it enhanced my development in a way where I am more informed about the LGBTQ community and their history. Understanding their community helps with my concentration by opening up my audience and my information about them.
This can class can be used to learn more about how to be inclusive but yet not over the top when creating certain videos.
I'd be able to respectfully represent folk that are apart of the LGBTQ+ in video games or any project pertaining to creation.
This class was towards my Intensive Writing so it jelped me write better
This course was taken to fulfill aspects of my degree, however, I chose this course over alternatives because the subject of LGBTQ history was appealing to me.
My major is Humanities -- with a concetration in History. I think that I will, in about four weeks, walk away with a more enlightened understanding of the US Pop Culture in the 20th Century. I learned more new things; isn't that the point of college and my specific major?
I think it was more of a being thankful for what has happened and how many people have fought some rights we deserve for everyone, nonetheless the story telling of how it came from personal experience and what not.
Learning about this course doesn't have a significant impact on my degree concentration but it has some significant impact on my personal way of thinking. I have a better understanding now about the LGBTQ community than before.
I don't believe this course was essential for my major but I would love to say Professor Compoc is an excellent teacher and she is very understand I feel this course is great for students who don't have to take it.
When it comes to creative media, having an understanding of the community can give an opportunity for audience engagement and to have more of a creative aspect when it comes to creative media
Idk I think I took this as an elective

6.   Please comment on the activities or resources that could be added to this course to improve your learning.
I enjoyed the people of color's experience with being queer. However, maybe some content about asexuality could be touched on a bit. The semester may not be long enough to cover it.
For the most part I was content with what I had do in this course.
I think the coursework load is fine as is.
The readings were good, but maybe less readings since most of them were a lot of pages. The videos were good ideas though
The only thing I could think of was adding periods of peer discussion during class, which would allow thoughtful exchange of ideas about the course material.
My mind can't conjure any answers to this question.

17.   Please list your suggestions for improving the course and/or the instructor's teaching style and methods.
I enjoyed this instructors teaching style. She was very informative, empathetic, and funny. I did find it unfortunate that we had to cut some conversations short. My suggestion is going back to the small group activities we had in the beginning of the semester. In a small group setting it was comfortable and open for those to jump in the conversation.
I think the teaching style is great but how some of the laulima resources and discussion posts are laid out are confusing and hard to navigate. Some discussion posts will just have a title and no rules or guides on what is expected out of the student.
I think it's fine as is.
None
I would suggest being more concise when delivering lectures, as sometimes she has a problem with meandering a bit during class, and often re-stating things that have already been said. It would be more helpful for the time taken to re-state things to go instead to advancing through the course material.

18.   My overall evaluation of this instructor is....
This instructor was well informed and clearly knew her content. She wasn't afraid to correct those who were mistaken or even challenge the ideas of those in class. I felt that the knowledge she had to offer was very valuable. She also made the content fun especially towards the end of the semester.
I think the instructor is enthusiastic and actually cares a lot about the topic.
she's easy to reach out to for questions and is passionate about teaching the topic of the LGBTQ+ community.
Very good, they went over a lot of content.
This instructor is very passionate about the subject matter of LGBTQ history, and is therefore able to deliver very clear and exciting speeches and lectures about it. It can often meander a bit too long, but overall, it's still more effective than what many teachers are capable of demonstrating.
The teacher is very kind, intelligent, sensitive, and thoughtful. She holds a safe place for students to discuss thoughts that border on socially unacceptable. She is always on time for class. She grades our assignments promptly.
She is very interesting, making the course interesting and fun as possible as well balancing the academic side of things while she was able to make the reading and writing as fun as possible within the creativity.
Dr. Compoc is very knowledgeable.
I believe Professor Compoc is an excellent teacher and I would take another course she teaches any time.
What shes doing right now is fine.
Cool person that can talk lots about LGBTQ topics
