I believe that this course was executed greatly in terms of the assignments and materials that we went over. I enjoy the fact that this course is fully open and transparent about the history behind the Philippines and the relationship it shares with the nations that surrounds it, particularly the United States. Although I do feel that it can be a little biased in terms of the ideals presented in the class, I do understand that it is the nature of a course like this. It is important to acknowledge the past, both good and bad. Overall I think that this course does well in teaching the history behind the relationship of the Philippines and the United States.
My overall evaluation is this course gives me a good sense of Filipinx American history and teaches me valuable skills such as researching.
My overall evaluation of this course is that the class was an amazing experience where I truly learned about the vast and influential history of Filipinx-American History. The instructor was very enthusiastic while teaching and provided us with various information that enhanced and expanded our knowledge on the subject. If I were to take a similar class or another course with Professor Compoc and her teaching methods, I would gladly take that course.

A big part of psychology is understanding the background of the individuals you may come across. This course does well in terms of helping me understand the background that may be behind some of the Filipino American individuals that I may come across, but also helps in terms of analyzing historical texts and articles that could reveal important factors about a group of people. The biggest benefit would be how the course has really pushed me to analyze text from a completely objective and non biased way, even if there are biases that are present within the text. Understanding both sides to a conversation and argument is important.
It helped me research better and expand my understanding of certain topics often talked in the history profession such as imperialism, colonialism, capitalism, nationalism and much more.
As a humanities major with a concentration in history, this course has most definitely enhanced my personal and professional development. Before taking this course, I was unaware or uninformed of the majority of the information taught throughout the semester. After taking this class, I can affirm that after every session, I walked out of the class with a new perspective on the subject and history in general. Since my career pertains to constant interaction and communication with people of various backgrounds here on the islands, this course will enhance my skills in communication and relationship building with my future clients and colleagues.
The class was a part of my history major but I chose Dr. Compoc because of how passionate she is about the subject. The course allowed me to understand American imperialism in the Philippines as well as how the American Empire used its power to influence the Philippines and other Pacific Islanders.

I believe when we have forums we should also be encouraged to respond to each other and have our own discussions on Laulima.
Based on my experience, no further activities or resources should be added. What the course has so far is already enough for a student to finish to course and walk out of the class a different person. The semester has been a wonderful experience and I cannot see how the class can be improved; it is already a perfect course that I will recommend to any student.
Due to my income, I'm limited in what I purchase. Thanks to Dr. Compoc as well as other professors making it so that you don't have to pay for the material, I don't have to stress about the payments.

I believe that Professor Compoc did well in all aspects of this course. From presenting and teaching the material of the course, to being very flexible when it came to helping students in need. There isn't anything that I find the need to critique when it comes to the instructor.
Very professional and helpful to students. Teaches well and clearly loves what she teach. I would recommend her for any students especially those going for a degree in the humanities with a focus on history.
My overall evaluation of Professor Compoc is nothing but praise and gratitude. Her passion for history and teaching history has played a major role in teaching students valuable knowledge. Professor Compoc's lectures, assignments, and exams are informative, yet satisfying to participate in. I can honestly affirm that I will recommend any student to take Professor Compoc's courses any time.
