4.   What did you find most valuable and helpful about the instructor?
Video instructions and relevant course material.
What I found the most valuable and helpful about this professor was how they helped us prep for job searching after college.
The videos on Laulima were excellent walkthroughs
knowledge on course material, you can ask for help if you got stuck
WOD Videos.
The instructor is fast to answer questions and is willing to help those who are behind.
Coming from the College of Engineering, I thought this instructor was beneficial and kind to students. I especially thought that the resources he provides and the accessibility in terms of asking for help outside of class was the most valuable part of the instructor. He set up a Discord channel for all students taking the course, regardless of the section or instructor, to ask questions or share knowledge. I thought this was extremely organized.
The instructor is helpful when we ask questions and gives us good feedback on projects.
He is very easy to reach, and answers questions very frankly. It's nice in comparison to other professors who give very roundabout answers, like "What do you think the answer is?" Well... I'm asking because I don't know the answer. But he does emphasize asking smart questions in the first place and explaining what you've already tried before asking for help in the first place which was great.
That we utilized time in class effectively through in person coding exercises.
he’s able to reply to emails and answer questions swiftly.
His knowledge
Homework WODS.
I found that the instructor had a significant amount of knowledge about the topics that were taught throughout this course because it made it easy for me to understand the topics better.
The most valuable and helpful about the instructor is provide many idea for students.
I found that although the professor mostly left us to do the learning ourselves, he always provided more than enough materials for us to do so efficiently. He was also friendly and effective at answering any students in class and in discord.
Super practical and hands on. It's a lot of work at sometimes but there are tutorials and chatGPT
The instructor being availible and effective in his assistance
It felt like he enjoyed teaching the material which makes it easier to pay attention to. Also, the classes were exercise based rather than lectures.
The instructor gave constructive and helpful feedback throughout the progress of our project. He was also very willing and open to answer any questions that he had. He always provided reminders of future deadlines during class periods.
One thing that was valuable was the projects and practice homeworks for WODs. They helped show what useful things code can do.
One thing I found most helpful and valuable was he was able to give us a lot of instructions on how to do certain things with each assignment including our final project and essays. I've enjoyed how certain things like the "WOD" helps us prepare for the future.
Professor Cam was very helpful and knowledgeable, and a sweet and nice person overall.
Open to help during office hours
The instructor was very passionate about the course material.
Very organized and clear about due dates
The In-Class WODS encouraged me to be prepared ahead of time.
The instructor makes detailed video tutorials and give detailed instructions
Cam Moore was great for this class. All assignments were clearly laid out. The class itself is very much so a learn-on-your-own method with the flipped classroom style, which I personally really liked. Many classes end up being like this anyway (due to poor lectures) so I appreciate the methodology of learning by coding. If one needed help or advice on coding practices, Cam was always available and knowledgeable.

5.   What did you find least valuable and helpful about the instructor?
Due dates on weekends.
There was nothing I found least valuable and helpful about the instructor.
not really
Lack of communication and support for the student
N/A
Nothing
I wouldn't necessarily say that he instructed the course as much as he did moderate? Because of the course structure, I don't think my experience would have been much different if I had a different professor, though that's not necessarily a bad thing or a diss.
Not sure.
I’m not sure.
His too fast paced talk through of code examples

Everything was valuable about the instructor and the way he instructed this course.
The least valuable and helpful about the instructor is not explaining the steps in homeworks and tests.
Not sure
The essays are the least valuable.
N/A
I thought the instructor was very good.
The instructor didn't return or grade much of the assignments in a timely manner.
One thing that I found least valuable was the class time where we didn't go over actual info other than practice problems.
One thing I find least valuable and helpful was some of the instructions he provides for us is confusing in a way.
In class time was spent on WODs, which is nice but there is little to no time spent teaching material. There is no lab to ask questions about the material. The TA Zerin is completely UNREACHABLE. Zerin responded to me little to NO times throughout the semester and she was unhelpful every time. She did not show genuine interest to helping her students and as a matter of fact I have never met her in person once this semester.
Most learning is from videos online.
Since the class size was so big, getting one on one help was not always easy.

The time it took to receive grades was very inconsistent and made it difficult to gauge how well I was doing
Nothing

8.   Which aspect of the course were most valuable?
Full stack software engineering skills
The most valuable aspect of this course is the integrated of job interview prep.
The Laulima videos
the WOD
WODs and Experiential learning.
The professional portfolio and it's essays and projects.
Every single part of the course was extremely valuable as I got to learn software engineering, especially frontend engineering in an organized and effective manner. I thought the in-class WODs were very helpful as they allowed me to address a prompt promptly, but were not too overwhelming as we were allowed to use resources to help.
We were given a lot of practice resources for WODs, which also helped for the final project.
The WODs.
In person WOD's.
all the material is found online
Short assignments
The wods, all the information provided by professors were extremely valuable
The TA labs were the most valuable of this course because they helped me to understand Software engineering concepts better.
The aspect of the course were most valuable is learning about website and how to create self website.
I think the 'do it yourself' programming aspects were the most helpful. When everything is not laid out perfectly for you, it requires you to learn how to do it yourself which is a better way to retain the information.
The final project. It gets you to look back on the homework
Learning jsx, html, and javascript
The react bootstrap assignment where we had to pick a website to recreate was very valuable to me. Since I didn't have a template to go off of, it helped me quickly learn different components in the library and how to organize my files. In general, the exercises given were very helpful.
Splitting the course into modules was valuable to me because learning all of the fundamental aspects allowed me to apply my knowledge into a cohesive final project. I also thought that the experiences/homework assignments were helpful in allowing me to understand the basic principles and learn by doing. The practice WODs (in-class and TA WODs) were useful practice for the actual WOD.
The lessons on sites and how they work and how to format one to make it nice. Also learning trouble shooting problems with tools.
The one thing I found valuable was able to practice and do the WODs. Also, to setup for GitHub IO page.
I learned a lot through this course because of professor cam. The TA Zerin did not help at all and she graded us very harshly throughout the semester. We were not able to make up any points and multiple times I thought I would fail this class despite spending 10-12 hours on the class PER WEEK.
The documented resources
The WODs
Weekly WOD practices and videos that came with the assignments
The video tutorials and WODs
Learning actually applicable software skills.

9.   Which aspect of the course were least valuable?
All or nothing WODs
The least value were the in class partner WODS. I think this time could be used to do a real stimulation of the WOD quizzes and be done individually, then talk to a partner about the steps taken for solving the WOD.
everything is good
In class group work.
N/A
Nothing
The essays. Maybe they're good for people who don't write, but I'm pretty confident in my writing skills so it just felt like a chore. I didn't put in a lot of effort towards them.
Reflection essays.
not sure
Timed Wods
Not of the aspects were least valuable.
The aspect of the course were least valuable is not enough materials to learn.
Nothing specific
The essays
Learning basic html
The least valuable aspect was the html section. I found it hard to incorporate CSS with the html scripts. However, it did provide a good groundwork.
I found some video recordings and readings in the modules (mainly relating to historical summaries of open source software, project management, design patterns, etc.) to not be as helpful. This was mainly because I wasn't able to use this knowledge in an applicable way. Learning through these methods seemed very linear and it was difficult to initially grasp the practical relevancy of some of these concepts.
One thing that I didn't find value in was the work with classroom that wasn't wods as there was a lot of extra time in class that wasnt used.
I'd say the aspect of the course that was least valuable was nothing really. Everything was great.
My TA zerin helped me none throughout the semester
Some resources were lackluster.
The readings and lecture materials

10.   Other comments?
No, overall one of the better classes
No other comments.

overall good professor
The instructor provided enough extra credit to help students maintain a passing grade.
Nope
I didn't find the methodology of continuous repeating a DNF experience WOD to be all that effective in improving my ability to understand JavaScript function syntax or underscore functions. The trial and error process merely allowed me to improve my speed by remembering what I had done before. I would recommend having multiple problems for a specific experience WOD, so that if someone was to DNF one the first attempt, they can try a different but similar problem. I think this can better test one's learning, rather than just pure memory retention. Maybe WODs from previous years can be used as the options for multiple problems.

It was in person, but it was a flipped classroom. You had to watch videos and do "classwork" outside of class to actually know what was going on in class.
N/A
The tests are in person but you really learn mostly outside of class
Watch videos on the course thats the only info you will get on knowledge
No comment.
It would be so helpful if there was a LAB session for the students to ask their TA questions IN PERSON, even just for students who are struggling with the detailed assignments, becuase this is not an easy class. If there was a Lab session I would have done so much better in the course and gotten even more out of it.
