2.   My overall evaluation of this course is...
Dr. Compoc is an expert in the field, and provides great resources for learning the subject matter.
Very long and time consuming but also has a good balance of taking time off. Mental health days were important and engaging with the class was extremely fun. I loved the topics of discussion.
Excellent, I was skeptical at first but the information learned is amazing.
Was good, learned a great deal about LGBTQ+ through media.
I thought this class was exceptional!
My overall evaluation of this course is that I came out of it with a better understanding of the effects and influence the history of pop culture has done to how we perceive the world. I have learned a lot about LGBTQIA+ and although I still have more to learn, I am more aware than I was before taking this course.
N/A
0/10. This course is awful and should be dropped from the curriculum.

3.   If this course was taken to fulfill course requirements for your concentration/major, how did this course enhance your personal and/or professional development in your concentration/major?
In the field of education, this course stresses inclusion and safe spaces. What I got out of it was mostly about how to build these spaces in a way that includes LGBTQIA+ students.
I learned a lot about film and television. Pop culture was seen in a fun historical context that made it easy to learn and great for class discussions.
This course has brought value to both. It has enhanced my knowledge with techniques to be more compassionate.
To be more open minded about people and what they prefer to be called who they want to be with.
It made me aware of the most LGBTQ+ updated issues and terminology
It allowed me to see how media, specially Hollywood's, can affect our perception of people and or groups.
This course has allowed me to be more inclusive in future personal and professional work that has to do with my major and beyond. I thought that this course broadened my mind on the diversity of individuals in the world so that I'm aware of what could potentially harm or hurt someone with my words so I can fix it.
N/A
It did NOTHING to help develop me or prepare me for a job in Creative Media. Frankly, I'm not sure why this is a part of the bachelor's program for my degree.

6.   Please comment on the activities or resources that could be added to this course to improve your learning.
The only complaint I have is the accessibility of some of the resources. There were times when only a select amount of students could have them open at a time, or others that required Netflix or Hulu subscriptions.
None.
They were on point and provided the information needed to complete assigned work.
N/A
I'm not sure on what could be added.
I think more resources that the instructor had mentioned but wasn't able to share this semester could be added into future classes to further improve learning and understanding with the topics mentioned.

NOTHING. CANCEL THIS COURSE!

17.   Please list your suggestions for improving the course and/or the instructor's teaching style and methods.
The class could be split from a double class period to two separate periods on separate days.
None.
The course was great. Easy to understand and follow.

Other than straight out canceling or removing this course in its entirety from the curriculum, I suggest seriously evaluating the biases of this professor. This individual professor is unprofessional in their teaching style and actively participates in the sharing of information that is harmful to persecuted religious beliefs.

18.   My overall evaluation of this instructor is....
Superior. MaikaŹ»i loa, Dr. Compoc.
She was a lot of fun and easy to talk to when I needed help. There was a sense of a safe space provided for the class and I enjoyed the energy.
Professor Get an A+
Good. She was open about teaching us about the LGBTQ+, made sure to correct us if what we used were homophobic or not, why LGBTQ+ struggle, etc.
An awesome instructor and everyone should take at least once.
My overall evaluation of the instructor is great in that the instructor made me feel comfortable and made sure I was able to speak when I wasn't able to find a place to speak during class. I also appreciated the feedback I would get on work because it was very clear that the instructor wanted to help my writing get better as it was a writing intensive course.
The instructor made this class fun. I enjoyed learning about the history through the LGBTQIA+ community
0/10. People like this professor do not deserve to be in a teaching position that involves instructing young, impressionable minds who haven't experienced the real world for themselves yet. This course teaches an extremely biased and filtered view of society that is completely wrong and unjust.
