4.   What did you find most valuable and helpful about the instructor?
Always there for consultation
Helpful insight and advice whenever students have problems with their code and debugging
He was really good at giving advice when people needed it.
Explains things very well when I have questions
I found most valuable about Professor Moore was his availability for questions and the promptness to make modifications to template issues.
I thought the experience and stories about his previous workplaces made it more relatable to the students who will be going into computer science related fields.
He was able to help us when we had questions as well as fix any bugs in the code.
Dr. Moore is very knowledgeable in the software engineering domain. He's a great mentor when it comes to devising solutions for database structures or debugging code.
We could always go to him for help if we were having issues implementing a certain feature for our project.
Answering questions from students
na
Professor Moore was always happy to help and would spend time explaining concepts or reviewing material covered in the previous class (ICS 314: Software Engineering I).
He's always available
He's very chill and not that strict.
I think he provides useful insight on how to use the tech stack
nA
Was available for questions during class and outside of class through Discord.

5.   What did you find least valuable and helpful about the instructor?
N/A
n/a
Sometimes submitted work wasn't graded.
N/A
Some classes were just sitting around doing work without any instruction.
There weren't any lessons in class, just worked on the project the whole time.
n/a
He didn't penalize students for not showing up to class.
not sure
na
As the class was a project based class, there was no real instructing to be done as most concepts have already been covered in the previous class.
There's not much instruction
Too chill
It would be cool if he taught specific cool things we could do.
nA
Kind of unclear about what we were working on towards the beginning, took a while to understand what we were creating.

6.   The instructor is fair and objective in evaluating students.

8.   Which aspect of the course were most valuable?
Being able to reach out for help. Old work that we can look back on.
Working with a client and taking their business requirements to create a web application to meet their needs
Being able to experience working on a team project was great.
Hands on experience doing group work
The actual client project was the most valuable.
Getting experience working as a group on a project through Issue Driven Project Management on GitHub.
We had the chance to create a good project that will eventually help us in the long run to find job opportunities.
Working with a large group was the most valuable. It's a lot different in comparison to working with groups of 3-4 as there can be a lot of chaos. However, experiencing part of that chaos was a good experience since future jobs will most likely require us to be part of a team.
Being able to work on a project for a real life client.
given class time to complete the project
na
I think the most valuable aspect of the course was how it threw us into the scenario of making a website for a client. Because of this, we were able to figure out how to both work in a team of programmers and how to communicate with our clients.
Working as a team
Teamwork
Working on a large project with a group.
bA
Interacting with clients and receieving feedback during the milestone to help develop our final product. Taught us how to determine which aspects of the project to focus on.

9.   Which aspect of the course were least valuable?
N/a
n/a
Can't really think of anything.
I didn't enjoy that one of the group members didn't participate in the project.
I think the GitHub home page was the least valuable part of the class because we started it when we first started our website, but then didn't really update it that much throughout the semester.
Website templates were given to us, so we only had limited chance to problem solve.
n/a
Doing two updates on our SMART goal progress.

I think the least valuable aspect of the course would be the code reviews. We were required at least four code reviews, with one being a review of ICS 314 code, but I feel like this concept could have been better. For example, maybe a few more ICS 314 code reviews during the first few weeks in order to help students who have not taken ICS 314 in a while to familiarize themselves with Javascript again.
Not many things to do when we reached our milestone

nA
A lot of work days, not much motivation to go to class

Thank you very much!

Great course, would highly recommend taking after 314.
na
Regarding questions 2 and 3, there were no TA/GA sections nor were there labs. I think something that could be very beneficial for future ICS 414 students would be a type of ICS 314 review period. My group consisted of students who have not taken ICS 314, and while I fully believe that they should have taken it first and not be placed into ICS 414 as they were not prepared and ill-equipped for the class, a review period would help students who decide to take ICS 414 a semester or more after they have taken ICS 314.
Was fun.
