He is very personable and does not make anyone feel uncomfortable to ask a "stupid" question. You can also see he really knows the subject and cares for the students.
He was able to teach lecture, processes involved with ocean science very clearly where it was not difficult to learn the material.

Professor Tobias was able to break down challenging topics into a clear and concise explanation that was easy to
understand and follow.

15. How did the instructor show concern for students? |

He would confront them about any late work and allowed us to submit it for partial credit. He is also very responsive if help was needed, in person and through email.
He would always encourage questions to be asked during class and remind the entire class to email him anytime if we had any questions.
Professor Tobias made sure to explain things in incremental steps and checked for understanding along the way before
moving on to the next concept.

Almost every class mentions major dates for exams, and constantly reminds students. Understanding of students outside life.

Yes, he was fun and his interest and passion for it really showed. If you pay attention in class or go over the material he provides, it is hard to fail his class.
Absolutely! I personally enjoyed learning from this professor and I would love for other students to have the same learning experience that I
did.
Yes I would recommend Professor Tobias to other students who would like to obtain and understanding about
oceanography. He make sure to present material in a logical step by step method and makes sure that students
understand it before moving on.

He was very passionate and informative about not just this subject material but also the entire macro-scope of science of the seas.
Thank you for giving me a competent understanding about oceanography, it's systems and processes, and for helping me
to develop a greater appreciation for the oceans on our planet.
