13.   What are the instructor's major strengths as a teacher?
His strengths as a teacher is that he's not mechanical and very authentic and real. In other words, he cares if the students retain the information or not.
Professor Friedrich's strengths were his way of showing us examples, being on task with communication, and just his patience and effort he showed for his students.
Very entertaining, makes science relatable
He taught the course in a collegiate way, making the course work clear and available. He provided space for questions.
His self-confidence gains students trust in that he knows what he is talking about.
He connects with students
Being able to break down and explain difficult parts of the course material into a very simple, intellectual way of understanding it.
He makes sure that you understand the material and always lets you know if you are doing well or are in need of extra help. He always has his lecture presentations ready on laulima before class starts.

14.   What changes, if any, do you suggest to the instructor?
No changes at all
A change I would suggest is the way he teaches certain material in class. There were times I didn't understand something he taught us in class and so, I asked about it during his office hours. When we spoke about it just one-on-one, only then was I able to understand it. Maybe its just me, but I feel like he explained it differently from when he did it class to when we spoke with just the two of us.
Have some extra credit so students can catch up
Nothing at all.
N/A

15.   How did the instructor show concern for students?
He showed concern by staying after class and answering certain student's detailed questions - because we were very worried about the exam.
Professor Friedrich showed concern by giving us reminders. Whenever he mass- emailed us regarding assignments and exams, he'd notify us that there are students who are missing homework assignments. Of course he didn't single out these students, but just the fact that he inputted it helps us (or at least me) to get boogie on to turning those assignments in. He also would sometimes stop individual students at the end of class to talk to them, to check up on how they're doing. These are usually the students who have a number of missing assignments and who haven't shown up to class in a while. I know this because I was one of those students he stopped.
He replies fast
He would reach out to each, making sure their questions were answered and educational needs were being met.
He offered to meet with students who had missed class if they had any questions on material they had missed.
He wants his students to really get what he is teaching so they know what is going on in the world.
Would email students who haven't turn in their homework assignments as it counts towards our exam grade. And would email them again, if we don't reply.
He would ask them to stay after class for a few minutes to discuss their options or just to let them know if they have any missing assignments or if he feels that they are falling behind.

16.   Would you recommend this instructor to students? Why or why not?
Yes, definitely because he is very lively and stale. Very energetic and has a vibrant personality.
I would recommend Professor Friedrich to students. Although the in-class lectures are hard to comprehend (but I feel like its always going to be that way if science isn't your strong subject), he's very open to questions and will definitely put time and effort to make sure students understand the material.
Yes, very much so. He is very knowledgable and fun
I would highly recommend him to everyone because of how well he teaches the course and cares for the individual student.
Yes.
Yes 100% because he helps you and he cares about the students that show that they want to be there and do good.
Yes, he knows the course material well, can explain it in terms that makes understanding it easier and he's really nice.
Yes, I would highly recommend him because this class was broken down into very clear and easy to understand sections. I can understand his material and it is a very fun environment.

17.   What else would you like to say about this instructor?
Very good communicator and takes step slowly (one step at a time) which is very good to retain the information; even though there are a lot of information to be covered.
Out of all the professors I have for this semester, Professor Friedrich is the teacher who I have met with the most outside of class. Not because its my most hardest class, but because I felt like he always made time for me somehow. Even if it meant he had to come to school early, before his scheduled class time, he would. He'd even stay after class to address my questions. Although there was a class after our class, it didn't stop him from ending our conversation. He'd take us to a table outside to finish up. He's a professor who gives reassurance to those who ask for it.
He's a good teacher, hope he had more classes
One of my favorite teachers.
He is energetic and enthusiastic. Professional, yet personable.
Thank you for everything.
He is one of the best teachers that I have ever had.
