Lawrence Seward was born in 1966 in Honolulu. He holds a MA, 1994, from New York University, and a BFA, 1990, from the University of Hawai‘i at Manoa.

In simple structures, gestures, objects, and icons, I find
a place for contemplating a deeper meaning to life.
By exaggerating the ‘everyday,’ I hope to release my–self
from the constraints of pop culture
and other glamorous seductions..
