Due to COVID-19, many campus exhibitions have been canceled or moved online, including the annual BFA exhibition, which was online in both 2020 and 2021. A group of the impacted students have taken the initiative to raise funds and organize an in-person exhibition of their thesis work at the Downtown Art Center<\/a> in Chinatown Gateway Plaza, 1031 Nu’uanu Ave. The invitational exhibition, titled “Turning the Key,” highlights works from approximately 30 artists of the BFA 2020 and 2021 cohorts. The artworks range in media and themes, created during the artists\u2019 final semester as part of their BFA thesis work. The exhibition will run from May 18 through 31, 2021.<\/p>\n
