Rona Bennett (formerly Awber) – BA 1996, is pictured above on the left with her business partner Lan Chung. Bennett and Chung are the creative force behind their clothing line Fighting Eel. Launched the summer of 2003, Fighting Eel has since expanded to three retail stores located on O‘ahu, including one at the Royal Hawaiian Hotel. In 2012, they even started a sister-line called Ava Sky. The pair was chosen as the recipients of the Governor’s Fashion Award for Established Designers of the Year for 2013.
