Inouye family to accept UH legacy tribute

Senator Daniel Inouye’s family will officially accept the University of Hawai’i’s tribute to the late senator at a brief ceremony on:
                         Friday, February 22, 2013
                         Time: 11 a.m.
                         Location: UH Manoa, C-MORE Hale, first-floor conference room.
The Board of Regents today approved a proposal that names four facilities and programs after Senator Inouye at four campuses across the state. They are:
     • University of Hawai’i at Manoa – The Daniel K. Inouye Center for Microbial Oceanography: Research             and Education (C-MORE)
     • University of Hawai’i at Hilo – The Daniel K. Inouye College of Pharmacy
     • UH Maui College – The Daniel K. Inouye Allied Health Center
     • Kaua’i Community College – The Daniel K. Inouye Electronics Technology Building
Confirmed attendees include: Irene Hirano Inouye, son Ken Inouye, Rep. Colleen Hanabusa, University of Hawai’i leadership.
