Writing Retreat
March 16, 9:30am - 2:00pmWindward Campus, Hale ‛Ākoakoa 107/109
Our Writing Retreat is not exactly a class but is an opportunity to meet and write in company with other beginning and experienced writers. Here we tap into our mutual creative energy. After introductions, we collect ideas in response to a starter prompt, then each person begins to draft a story, poem, memoir, argument or whatever. In small groups we read these diverse pieces and give each other non-critical reader responses.
Anyone over 16 is welcome to attend. Bring writing materials, a sack lunch, and perhaps a mug for coffee or tea. A food contribution for the morning snack table is welcome, but it is not necessary.
Classes meet on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Call early to register with your credit card information; course may close due to large enrollment!
