Executive policy EP 5.101, Authority to Award Degrees and Certificates for Programs Authorized by the Board of Regents Effective Date: October 2014 Dates Amended: October 1977 Responsible Office: Office of the Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs Governing Board of Regents Policy: RP 5.208, Conferring of Academic Degrees, Diplomas, and Certificates Review Date: August 2018 I. Purpose
To codify the delegation of authority to each Chancellor for respective units to award degrees and certificates for programs authorized by the board of regents.

III. Executive Policy

IV. Delegation of Authority
Authority is further delegated to Chancellors to award appropriate degrees and certificates upon certification by the appropriate faculties that requirements for Board of Regents authorized programs have been fully met and completed.
