New Student Orientation Program

Why should I attend?

The Student Orientation Program includes:

  • Insightful and helpful advice from current students
  • The opportunity to interact with a New Student Orientation Leader
  • Meeting UHM faculty from different departments
  • A resource fair featuring various on-and-off-campus programs and services
  • A campus tour
  • Priority registration*
  • Breakfast, lunch and snacks
  • A chance to meet other students new to UHM!
*for paid registrants of NSO

Note: students who register for NSO by August 1st are guaranteed to receive a priority registration pin number. However, given the high number of reservations, those who submit and complete the registration process after this date may not be guaranteed a PIN number given the proximity to the actual early registration dates.

The Parent & Family Orientation Program includes:

  • Advice on navigating your new relationship with your student
  • Meeting with current UHM students and faculty members
  • The opportunity to get your questions answered by campus resource representatives
  • A resource fair featuring various on-and-off-campus programs and services
  • A campus tour
  • Breakfast, lunch and snacks
  • The opportunity to meet other parents!
