Honolulu Community College is currently accepting nominations for its distinguished alumni and community partner awards that will be presented at the upcoming Celebrate! 2012 dinner.

The deadline for submitting nomination packets is April 13. Recipients will be announced in June 2012. The online nomination form and criteria can be found at http://www.honolulu.hawaii.edu/alumni/ under the Celebrate tab.

The college, which celebrated its 90th anniversary in 2010, will be honoring its college community with an evening affair on Thursday, October 25, 2012. Celebrate! 2012 will recognize Honolulu CC alumni who have gone on to become leaders within the community and recognize a community partner that embodies the spirit of genuine partnership benefiting the college and its students.

The proceeds generated from the silent auction that evening will benefit the Honolulu Community College General Scholarship Endowment Fund, which will provide monetary assistance to students in pursuit of their educational goals.

In addition to the awards dinner, an alumni focused website was created to enhance alumni relations. The site include links to the University of Hawai‘i Alumni Association, University of Hawai‘i Foundation, Honolulu’s social media platforms, an alumni notes section, and a fillable alumni directory form that allows other alumni to connect with one another through an email messaging medium. The public is encouraged to visit the site at: http://www.honolulu.hawaii.edu/alumni/ .
