Professor Ho-min Sohn named recipient of Korea Foundation Award
University of Hawaiʻi at MānoaThe Korea Foundation Award was established in 2008 to honor individuals and organizations who have strived to promote awareness and a better understanding of Korea in the global community. The award recipient is chosen from nominees suggested by distinguished scholars and experts from all around the world and is selected by a committee composed of relevant experts.
The award recipient receives a commemorative plaque along with a prize of $10,000. The award was presented to Sohn at a ceremony in Seoul on December 15, 2011.
