The University of Hawai‘i flagship campus at Mānoa has enrolled nearly 400 more students than last year – the largest increase in six years.  This fall semester at UH Mānoa 20,360 students are enrolled, compared to 19,957 in fall of 2008.

This year's enrollment includes more Hawai‘i residents and fewer non-residents than last year.  Also, more applications were received from freshmen and transfer students. The campus also enrolled more transfer students than last year.

"This year we were able to provide improved on-campus housing and additional financial aid to our students. We’re excited that more of Hawai‘i’s young people are realizing what a great investment a degree from UH Mānoa offers for their future lives and careers,” says Mānoa Chancellor Virginia Hinshaw.
